BRAKKE CONSULTING VIEWPOINT

It has been an interesting week at Brakke Consulting.  Almost every week I comment on the various acquisitions and divestitures taking place in the industry.  This week is no different with 6 transactions being report along with several out-licensing agreements.  However, this week was different in that Brakke Consulting was one of the companies that has agreed to be acquired and merged into Stonehaven Consulting.

In recent years a number of you have asked me when I was going to either find a purchaser for Brakke Consulting or hand the management reins over to another individual.  I can assure you that I have explored many of these alternatives extensively, but when I started interfacing with the Stonehaven management team, the decision became clear.  Both companies’ business objectives are to provide quality consulting services to the global animal health, pet, veterinary and nutrition industry. We believe these objectives can best be accomplished  by merging the two firms.

Both parties expect the closing to occur on or before March 31, 2018. I personally look forward to assisting in the integration of the two firms over the coming months and continuing to be a part of Stonehaven for at least the next year, if not longer. I expect to continue to interface with many of you for the foreseeable future.

I want to take this opportunity to thank all of our present and past clients, consultants and staff that have supported Brakke Consulting for the 31+ years we’ve been in business.  Your support has been vital to our success and allowed us to make many positive contributions to the industry.

Have a great weekend!

Ron Brakke
