BRAKKE CONSULTING VIEWPOINT

This week’s news is a mix of additional generic drug approvals, expanded label claims on current FDA approved products and marketing, research and manufacturing agreements. Our reading is that 2016 is moving along nicely for most companies with increases in revenues.

Weather conditions in most of the US appear to be favorable for grass and feed grain production. It is also favorable for the production of fleas, ticks, flies and other parasites. If this trend continues, this is likely to be another excellent year for animal health companies. I’m currently in the Midwest where the cattle are being worked and then put out to lush pastures for the summer. There should be plenty of either grass or corn-feed beef to harvest this fall.

Have a great weekend!

Ron Brakke
