BRAKKE CONSULTING VIEWPOINT

This week’s newsletter covers several new product introductions and launches. A number of companies are filling some holes in their product line. There is also the announcement of a USDA conditional approval for the first vaccine to prevent PEDv in swine. The product could assist the swine industry in recovery of swine numbers that have declined the past year due to the disease. Score another one for innovation.

We also have one of the leading pet insurance companies going public. The current pace of IPOs will enable us to track the stock price for a number of animal health companies. The amount of funds brought into the animal health industry by small and large firms going public is good for the industry. Fresh capital is always needed!

Have a good weekend!

Ron Brakke
