EARNINGS NEWS RELEASES
- Cencora reported their third quarter 2025 results with revenue of $80.7 billion which was up 8.7% compared to the prior fiscal year third quarter. Results of the U.S. Healthcare Solutions segment, which MWI Animal Health is part of, saw an increase of 8.5% in revenue. (investor.cencora.com)
- Third quarter 2025 results for Central Garden and Pet were announced with a decrease of 4% on net sales of $961 million. Gross profit of $332 million reflected an increase of 5%. The pet segment saw net sales of $493 million, a decrease of 3% due to softer demand of durable pet products. (ir.central.com)
- Colgate Palmolive announced their second quarter 2025 earnings with a net sales increase of 1% resulting from organic sales of 1.8% and a negative impact of 0.6% from lower private label pet sales. The Hill’s Pet Nutrition division represented 23% of the total company sales and posted a $264 million operating profit, a 13% increase vs prior year. (investor.colgatepalmolive.com)
- Second quarter results for Elanco Animal Health were announced reporting 5% growth year over year (organic constant currency revenue growth of 8%) an increase with revenue of $1,241 million. U.S. pet health led the growth at 11%. (investor.elanco.com)
- Fresh Pet reported second quarter and first half sales for 2025. Net sales for the first half of 2025 grew 15% ($527.9 million) driven by volume gains of 12.8%. Net income was $3.7 million for the same time period and represented a decrease over prior year due to increased SG&A expenses including increased media spend of $18.8 million in the first quarter of 2025. - Second quarter results for IDEXX Laboratories was $1,109 million representing an increase of 11% (9% organic). Companion Animal Group revenue was led by diagnostics with recurring revenue growth of 9% (10% organic). Nearly 2,400 IDEXX InVue Dx instruments drove record quarterly instrument placements. - With total revenue of $353.6 million, Trupanion reported a 12% increase compared to second quarter 2024. Subscription enrolled pets saw an increase of 4%. Net income was $9.4 million due to a realized gain of $7.8 million from the exchange of a preferred stock investment for intellectual property. (company press release)
- Posting a 4% growth in revenue to $2.5 billion in the second quarter 2025, Zoetis reported net income of $718 million, a 15% increase over previous year. Sales in the U.S. were driven by companion animal products especially Simparica Trio and dermatology portfolio. (investor.zoetis.com)
- With revenue of $7.0 million in the second quarter of 2025, Zomedica reported growth of 14% over the prior year. Net loss for the quarter decreased to $7.4 million compared to $23.9 million for prior year. (feeds.issuedirect.com)

- US- NEW WORLD SCREWWORM- The U.S Department of Agriculture’s Animal and Plant Health Inspection Service (APHIS) will host informational webinars for the animal industry veterinarians and animal health regulatory officials on August 12 and August 13, 2025. (usda.gov)
- US- VETERINARY SCHOOL-The Governor of Illinois announced a capital investment of more than $2.1 million towards renovation of the University of Illinois Large Animal Veterinary Clinic. (gov)
- US- NEW VETERINARY SCHOOL- Set to open at the end of August for its first class of veterinary students, Rowan University’s Shreiber School of Veterinary Medicine received a ceremonial check for $8 million in state appropriations to support New Jersey’s first veterinary school. (rowan.edu)
- AUS-FMD- A mRNA vaccine to protect livestock from foot and mouth disease has been developed as part of a $20 million, five- year research partnership. (com.au)
- AUS- VETERINARY SCHOOL- Murdoch University received a $100million gift from Ted Powell, a Perth businessman. The gift will be used to redevelop the veterinary school allowing it support a 50% increase in veterinary students. (edu.au)

The remaining respondents have all tried it and the returnees to “traditional pet food” slightly outnumber those that are loving this pet food segment.
