Consolidated sales reached more than EUR 1.2 billion ($1.4 billion), an increase of 14.6% over 2018 (+10.4% CER). The group recorded positive growth in all geographical zones. (company press release) PetIQ, Inc. reported financial results for the full year ended December 31, 2019. Net sales were $709 million, an increase of 34% year-over-year; excluding contribution from Perrigo Animal Health, net sales increased 29%. Product segment net sales increased 37% to $617 million; Services segment net revenues increased 22% to $19.4 million. Net loss was $(14.3) million, compared to net income of $0.1 million in 2018. The 2019 net loss included $34.9 million incremental expense attributable to $28.5 million of non-recurring acquisition expenses and $6.4 million of incremental interest relating to the financing of the Perrigo Animal Health acquisition that closed in July 2019. Paul Casady Joins Brakke Consulting Team
GREENSBORO, NC, January 10, 2020 – Brakke Consulting is pleased to announce the appointment of Paul Casady to its team of consultants, bringing extensive experience and capabilities to one of the leading animal health consultancy firms. Paul was recently described by a global HR firm as a ‘thoroughbred in the animal health industry’ he brings 35 years of industry experience to bolster Brakke’s leading position in consulting in animal health. His experience includes senior positions at both Merck and Merial (now part of Boehringer Ingelheim) where he held roles in both country and regional management and served on their global leadership teams. Through the years Paul has had over 20 years involved in international animal health. This included living abroad for over 10 years in The Netherlands, Australia and the UK. And the experience includes almost all segments of animal health, both from a product and specie segment. New report profiles the US flea, tick and heartworm markets

New Study Measures Channel Disruption In Pet Health Products
Greensboro, NC October 9, 2019 A new research study from Brakke Consulting is mapping the changing dynamics of pet product distribution and retailing, especially health and nutrition products. Pet Health Products: Changing Channels aims to show how pet owner purchasing patterns are changing in light of new sales channels, as well as new ways to obtain veterinary services. “The rapid emergence of Chewy.com, the entrance of Walmart and others into veterinary care and the recent formation of Covetrus, Inc., are all events that are disrupting the way pet owners buy products, especially health and nutrition products,” says Dr. Robert Jones, president of Brakke Consulting. “Not only do veterinarians have more and better ways to serve their clients, there are now new players actively competing with veterinarians and traditional pet retailers in several categories,” he said. The new Brakke study includes nationally representative surveys of 1,000 pet owners and 500 veterinarians.
