New Brakke Study Tracks Impact of COVID-19 On Pet Owner Behavior and Purchasing

Pet industry leaders will be able to monitor the impact of the coronavirus pandemic and economic downturn on pet owner purchasing and pet care thanks to a new tracking study from Brakke Consulting, COVID-19: Impact on Pet Care. The study will be conducted in three waves beginning in May.

The research tracks changes in pet owner income, pet ownership, purchasing behavior for key products, and veterinary visits.  The study is based on three separate Internet surveys, each conducted among a random national sample of 1,000 pet owners.  A report will be issued after each survey with full results.

“The COVID-19 pandemic creates one of the most tumultuous markets that business leaders have faced in their careers.  This study is designed to provide the best decision-making information available, “ says Bob Jones, PhD, president of Brakke Consulting.  “Providing three large-scale surveys consecutively as the market evolves will help companies and investors react more effectively to current events, as well as get a leg up on planning for 2021.”

The price of the study is $17,500 for all three reports.  Orders placed by April 30 and paid in full within 45 days earn a $1,500 early-order discount.  For more information or to subscribe to the tracking study, contact John Volk, senior consultant, john@volkonline.com, (312) 524-4941.
