The 2018 Merck Veterinary Wellbeing Study, conducted by Brakke Consulting, measures the level of wellbeing in the veterinary profession and determines factors that negatively and positively impact mental health and wellbeing in veterinarians.

The 2020 Merck Veterinary Wellbeing Study examined job satisfaction, compensation, burnout, substance use disorder, cyberbullying and suicide among veterinarians while evaluating potential solutions.

The 2021 Merck Animal Health Veterinary Wellbeing Study, the first conducted since the COVID-19 Pandemic, examined and brought critical awareness to the challenges impacting the veterinary profession, while highlighting the impact the pandemic has had on both practitioners and staff.
