A new national study among companion animal veterinarians evaluates the veterinary technical services support provided by animal health and nutrition companies.

The study determines companion animal practitioner’s expectations for veterinary technical services and compares how each company’s teams deliver on those expectations. In addition, each company’s veterinary technical service team is compared to those of peer competitors. Thirteen companies were evaluated on amount and quality of contact with veterinary technical services, as well as over a dozen attributes.

The cost of the study is $27,000. For more information or to order the study, contact Dr. Cary Christensen at crychris123@gmail.com or (913) 205-6578.

BRAKKE CONSULTING VIEWPOINT

It was great seeing many of you earlier this week in Las Vegas at the Western Veterinary Conference. This annual conference continues to grow and is becoming a must-attend event. We were particularly encouraged by the number of new innovative products and services being offered, some of which are covered in this newsletter.

As happens almost every week, there are new diagnostic genetic tests being developed and launched to improve the health of animals being announced. Some veterinary clinic consolidator groups are offering training programs and services to improve veterinary medicine and to entice new veterinarians and clinic owners to their growing operations. In our 2018 Animal Health Industry Overview we covered in more detail the rapid clinic consolidation and diagnostics area. These two accelerating growth areas are going to impact almost every company in the industry in one way or another now and in the future.

Have a great weekend!

Ron Brakke
