The third edition of the Equine Market MegaStudy, published by Brakke Consulting, Inc., and Ipsos Agriculture and Animal Health, is now available.

This comprehensive study of horse owner buying and decision-making behavior includes data on over 400 brands of equine products in 17 categories. The study also measures readership of equine publications, catalogs and websites, with a new section on the use of social media and hand-held devices. Based on a national survey or more than 1,000 horse owners, the report contains a wealth of information on horse owner demographics and segments.

Copies of the 184-page report are now available for $12,000. In addition, all purchasers are invited to a special two-hour seminar on this highly regarded research study on Jan. 20 during the North American Veterinary Conference.

BRAKKE CONSULTING VIEWPOINT

Now that the holidays are over, it’s time to start focusing on the busy first quarter meeting schedule. There is a great deal happening in the industry as companies hold sales meetings and prepare for major program or product launches at January and February National and Regional meetings. We look forward to participating in some of the new product launch meetings in Orlando so we can observe first-hand innovations that will make a difference in the lives of animals. We are encouraged by the commitments and investments that are being made by a number of companies to create new product categories and revenues for their companies and customers.

Earlier in the report you hopefully noticed that we will be conducting our 2014 Animal Health Industry Overview as we have for the past 20-plus years at NAVC and WVC. If you’ve not already registered for one of these presentations, we encourage you to so soon. We have a limited amount of space and we are approaching being sold out!! We look forward to seeing many of you in Orlando next week!

Have a great weekend!

Ron Brakke
