美国有近35000家兽医诊所，而CVS药店只有9000家，为什么这件事如此重要？原因在于客流量。宠物主人通常一年只去兽医诊所一两次，但每月却要去药店好几次。此外，在CVS，宠物药品可以享受与顾客处方药相同的自动续药和送货上门服务。还有一点，许多人用药也会被开给宠物，而这些处方药已经在当地药房配药了。所以，对于很多宠物主人来说，这并非他们第一次在CVS取药。（本周我去了芝加哥市中心一家大型CVS药店。药剂师知道这个项目，但没有接受过相关培训，也没有关于项目启动日期的信息。）

Last week, we asked what you thought about the CMA rule requiring veterinary practices to disclose ownership via signage at the premises and online. An overwhelming 73% of respondents would support this rule, while 17% would not. Only 10% were not sure. Seems like there is an opportunity for practices to adopt this disclosure even if it isn’t a rule.
This week, a simple question: In three years’ time, do you think retail pharmacies like CVS and Walgreens will become meaningful competitors to veterinary practices for pet medications?
