Kim Young e Emily McVey da KCAHC fizeram um \u00f3timo trabalho organizando um evento esgotado que teve como tema trazer inova\u00e7\u00e3o para a nossa ind\u00fastria.<\/p>\n<p>Meio dia do Summit foi dedicado a apresenta\u00e7\u00f5es de empresas emergentes, e conversei com Tom Overbay, da Expedite Animal Health, que liderou as equipes de treinamento e sele\u00e7\u00e3o dessas startups, para saber mais sobre elas. Foram 32 empresas emergentes que se inscreveram para apresentar no Summit e destas, surpreendentemente, cerca de 60% delas estavam focadas em pecu\u00e1ria e 40% em animais de companhia. E desses 32, cerca de 15% eram relacionados a produtos, onde seria necess\u00e1ria uma aprova\u00e7\u00e3o do FDA\/USDA e 85% eram relacionados a diagn\u00f3stico ou tecnologia. Das 12 empresas finalistas, 7 eram relacionadas a diagn\u00f3stico ou tecnologia, e uma empresa emergente de diagn\u00f3stico venceu a competi\u00e7\u00e3o,\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/vidiumah.com\/\">Vidium Sa\u00fade Animal<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>Fabian Kausche abordou isso no Summit em sua apresenta\u00e7\u00e3o, intitulada \u201cTransitions in Innovation in Animal Health\u201d, onde nos lembrou das ondas hist\u00f3ricas de inova\u00e7\u00e3o em sa\u00fade animal \u2013 estamos em uma onda de inova\u00e7\u00e3o baseada em tecnologia.
